• Following your ergonomics self-evaluation, evaluation by a DSA (Department Safety Advisor), physical therapist, or ergonomist, it is your responsibility and your manager’s responsibility to order equipment and arrange for installation.
• Contact the vendor directly to request quotes for the desired items as well as installation fees if needed.
• Follow your department's purchasing procedure.
• The vendor will communicate with you directly to arrange for payments, delivery, installation, etc.

UCSF Be Smart About Safety has established an Ergonomic Equipment Matching Fund Reimbursement Program. This program was designed to provide campus departments with a cost-effective way to improve employee's workstations and prevent computer related injuries.

The program focuses on ergonomic modification of individual employee computer workstations. Matching funds are available for furniture or accessories recommended as a result of a computer workstation evaluation by a qualified evaluator. If a workstation evaluation identifies the need for specific modification, a purchase order for the recommended furniture or equipment must be submitted within 30 days of the evaluation.
